I am a big fan of EVs whether trucks, boats, cars, etc... but I also think that for EV to be our main mode of transport would create such a huge disruption socially, economically and environmentally to the global energy infrastructure.
Entire locations of urban centers will have to completely shift to move closer to areas of high renewable potential to fully optimize our world to suit EVs. Imagine solar-little New York being reduced to build up solar-plenty Florida.
Green Hydrogen is the more likely future.
However, for those who still insist on EVs. Then I would like to make sure they know that the only way that would be possible today is if we also in parallel promote Nuclear as well.
