Just GO ALREADY

The life lesson my daughter taught me

Me: Are you sure you want to climb up the mountain?
Daughter: Yes
Me: But it’s so hot and dusty. We can just sit here in the nice cafe.
Daughter: I want to go!
Me: You will need to take horseback to the base and climb 200+ steps to the top. Are you sure you want to go?
Daughter: Yes! Just GO ALREADY!

And with that determination, I am proud to say that my 5 yr old daughter rode a horse through the sea of sand and a valley of rock, then climb up 200+ steps on her own to reach the top of Mount Bromo in #indonesia.

See her conquer the peak here!!

I wanted to take this moment to share a heartfelt reflection on the profound lessons I’ve learned from an unexpected source: my wonderful daughter. I am ashamed that instead of being the source of courage and boldness, I was the source of fear and worry.

As parents, we often think of ourselves as the primary teachers, guiding our children through life’s challenges. However, life can also take a toll on our faith and belief in ourselves. Through failures in life, we have become doubtful and run away from challenges.
