As per what GRI states... SDGs are national or international goals. They are designed for governments to implement and not directly goals for companies. So SDGs are the northstar for governments and international organisations.

Corporate Purpose or Raison detre is the northstar of the companies. Company's should commit to contribute to the local government sustainable goals in where they operate.

Dont start a inner city kids program where your 50 person HQ is when you do not give basic healthcare and childcare to your thousands of workers in a rural community.
